HLC were recently invited to a rather special event at No. 1 Spinningfields, which took place on the 7th floor overlooking our gorgeous city, one sunny evening.
In the run up to the UK Private Business Awards, which are sponsored by PWC, the company hosted a private business dinner, bringing together some of Manchester’s finest local businesses.
PWC’s recent campaign, #WeareyourPwC, highlights and celebrates the importance of smaller businesses and their growth. It was humbling to be amongst a panel of inspiring business owners and listen to some true success stories, including that of our friends over at Manchester Gin.
HLC director, Sarah, was invited to chat to guests about Hey Little Cupcake, and how her business stemmed from a love of travel and baking, to a successful cupcakery, now almost in its 8th year. You can read more about Sarah’s story on our About Us page.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper event without a sweet treat from HLC, and this time, we went for something a little different.
Our bakers designed a trio of desserts for the private business dinner. These included our award-winning salted caramel brownie, complete with a little edible Manchester bee, a S’mores cupcake from our most recent Royal Wedding collection, and our classically British, Victoria Sandwich cupcake.
Each treat was cleverly shrunk down to a miniature version and beautifully presented by a talented team of chefs.
The trio of desserts went down an absolute storm and certainly caused a buzz amongst the guests!
