This week, HLC were invited to host a cupcake decorating class at JMW Solicitors Ladies Event in Spinningfields.
Armed with a mountain of chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, green vanilla buttercream and decorating tools, we headed over to set up our table.
Our chosen theme for the evening fit perfectly with the floral feel of the event, and we were excited to teach the ladies how to make a secret garden cupcake!
It wasn’t long before our table started filling up with budding bakers and Sarah began by teaching the ladies how to make a sugarpaste rose and leaves.
After filling their sponges with caramel and chocolate; the ‘secret’ part of our secret garden cupcake, we then got the ladies piping their buttercream. The grass nozzle is notoriously difficult to master and we were very impressed with their first attempts!
They then popped their sugarpaste decorations on top and voila!
The secret garden cupcakes went down a treat at the event and we had so much fun teaching such a lovely bunch of ladies!
